It is inspired by the original spirit of the “angel,” first associated with Broadway patrons who helped bold creative work reach the stage, long before William Wetzel coined the modern business term “angel investor” in 1978.

Through curated annual editions, KRIYA ANGELS builds cultural recognition around creativity, entrepreneurship, and future-facing impact. Over time, it is being developed with a long-term vision to evolve into an art-backed global angel network rooted in culture, patronage, and meaningful support.

Through portrait-led art, curated editions, and collectible works, it celebrates people who support creativity, culture, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and future-facing impact.

The idea of the “angel” first emerged in the world of Broadway theatre, where patrons helped bold creative productions come to life, long before the term entered the language of startup finance. In that spirit, KRIYA ANGELS begins as an artist-studio-led global initiative honoring patronage, visibility, and meaningful participation.

Over time, KRIYA ANGELS is being developed toward a new global art-backed angel network rooted in culture, patronage, and meaningful support.

KRIYA ANGELS, incubated by artist Manohar Chiluveru and Kriya Art House, is being developed as a long-term cultural platform that brings together art, visibility, patronage, and meaningful participation. Through curated annual editions, it aims to build a body of artworks whose exhibition, sale, and auction can help support future creative and cultural ventures.

Each edition of KRIYA ANGELS is built around a distinct cause, theme, or cultural context. The first edition is centered on biodiversity and the living world, portraying remarkable individuals within visually rich settings inspired by wildlife, nature, and ecological beauty.
